NTAUTHORITY\SELF permissions on mailbox
Hi
Looking at mailboxes in my Exchange 2007 SP2 environment, I see that the SELF account has rights on the mailbox, as does my own account (domain\mr_sheen).
Does anyone know the difference between these two? Why is there a SELF account - why not just assign everything to domain\mr_sheen

SELF is an auto created permission that shouldn't be removed. It is created when a new mailbox is created because the mailbox security descriptor does not read from Active Directory until After the user logs in for the first time. It is just the way Exchange
works :)
